Constitution

ARTICLE I – NAME
The Name of this organization shall be known as the Angelo RC , Inc.

ARTICLE II – PURPOSE
The purpose of the Angelo RC Association, Inc. a non-profit organization, shall be to:
A. Provide a means whereby the fellowship of those interested in radio controlled
model aircraft is enhanced and promoted.
B. Promote the interest and activities of radio controlled model aircraft through
planned activities, programs and events designed to increase the participation and
mutual enjoyment of each interested person.
C. Maintain a suitable flying facility and establish required procedures and rules for
use.
D. Cooperate with all agencies and organizations in the promotion of radio
controlled model aircraft.
E. Promote the best possible public relations with the local community for the
benefit of all radio control modeling.
F. Promote community youth interest in aviation. Encourage youth education in the
scientific and technical disciplines related to aviation.

ARTICLE III – MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the Association shall be open to all who are interested in radio controlled model aircraft who meet and maintain the requirements set forth by the by-laws of the Association.

ARTICLE IV – OFFICERS
The officers of this organization shall consist of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Field Chairman, News Letter Editor.

ARTICLE V - EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
A. The Executive Committee shall consist of the officers and the immediate past
President of the Association, and two members at large, nominated by the
President and approved by a majority of the officers. The members at large
appointees must have been members for one (1) year.
B. The current President shall be Chairperson of the Executive Committee. The
Executive Committee shall have the right to conduct all business of the
Association by a majority vote, except that requiring a vote of the membership, or
that which is deemed necessary to be brought before the membership of the
organization in the interim between regular meetings. Votes on the Executive
Committee shall be either yea or nay. One vote per committee member
regardless of the number of offices held.

ARTICLE VI – AFFILIATION
A. This organization may affiliate or become allied with other organizations that
have the same purpose.
B. Recommendation for such action should be made by a vote of the membership.

ARTICLE VII – MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS
A. Meetings shall be held monthly.
B. The time and place of these meetings shall be determined by the Executive
Committee.
C. Each regular meeting of the Association shall include a business session covering
all items of regular business of the Association including financial, status of
membership, programs and activities. Each regular meeting shall include a
technical or safety session of interest to the general membership.
D. All items discussed, as new business should be on the agenda prior to the monthly
meeting. Items may be submitted for entry onto the agenda in writing, by phone
or in person to the Secretary or President. The officer presiding over the meeting
may at his/her discretion call for new business during the monthly meeting.
E. At any Association meeting a simple majority shall be over 50% of the members
present at the meeting. Voting may be conducted as a simple yea/nay or secret
ballot.
F. Association officers may call special meetings with no less than ten (10) days
prior notice. Notice of special meetings will be sent via the US Postal Service or
individual e-mail, which will be based on individual preference.

ARTICLE VIII – AMENDMENTS
A. Amendments to this Constitution may be proposed by any member of the
Association.
B. Amendments to this Constitution will be considered at the regular Association
meeting 60 days after submittal. Proposed amendments may be submitted, in
writing at any time. The amendments may be ratified by a two-thirds (2/3) vote
of the members present at the designated meeting.
C. Amendments to the Association by-laws that affect the dues and initiation fees
may be proposed by any member of the Executive Committee at any time. The
amendment must pass with a majority vote of the Executive Committee and a
two-thirds (2/3) vote of the membership present at a designated meeting provided
that written notice has been given to all members. Amendment notice will be sent
to the membership via US Postal Service or individual e-mail this will be based
on individual preference. Notice should include: time, date, and location of the
meeting at which the proposed amendment is to be made. (Reference: Article
VII, Paragraph F.) The revised dues/initiation fees will become effective with the
beginning of the next calendar year.
4. Amendments to this Constitution that affect safety regulations or needed
compliance with outside regulations, laws or requirements (i.e. AMA) will be
considered at the next regular Association meeting.
